- Toss The Money Book becomes bestseller, achieves 10th print run in under a month
- Over 6,000 visitors at Toss’ booth during the “2024 Seoul International Book Fair”
Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” successfully concluded its participation in the “2024 Seoul International Book Fair.”
The 2024 Seoul International Book Fair was held from June 26 (Wed) to 30 (Sun) at COEX, Samseong-dong, Seoul. Toss participated in the event following the May release of The Money Book: Guide to Shape Your Future (The Money Book) as its publisher. The book curates and refines content from “Today’s Money Tip,” a financial education section within the Toss app, and Toss’ content platform “Toss Feed.”

Toss designed the booth to resemble a store filled with everyday essentials and named it “The Money Book Store.” Refrigerators were stocked with groceries, and shelves displayed various household items as props, sending the message that the financial knowledge shared in The Money Book is as essential as these daily necessities.

One of the highlights of the booth was the “Book Binding” event, where visitors could choose from six key financial topics—avoiding overspending, buying a home, building wealth, preparing for retirement, and more—to create a personalized Money Book by selecting and assembling pages that matched their financial interests. The event was so popular that long queues formed as visitors waited to participate.

According to the data collected, visitors spent an average of one hour at Toss’ booth, from queuing to participating. Over the course of the five days at the 2024 Seoul International Book Fair, more than 6,000 people visited Toss’ booth, and over 1,000 social media posts featured “The Money Book Store” and the book binding experience with their individual Money Books.
“We are delighted that The Money Book, which compiles essential financial knowledge, has been so well received, as it embodies Toss’ brand vision of making financial knowledge accessible and equal for all.” Toss’ Head of Brand Communication Team Kiyeol Yoon said. “It was especially meaningful to see more people experiencing the Toss brand both online and offline through this project.” Yoon added, “If The Money Book makes finance feel more approachable and genuinely useful in daily life, that would be its greatest achievement.”

Within just over a month of its release, The Money Book became a bestseller, ranking #5 overall in Kyobo Bookstore (#2 in online sales), #1 in the online economics & business category, #2 on Yes24 in the same category, and #1 on Aladin. Sales have exceeded 30,000 copies, leading to its 10th print run. Toss announced that all proceeds from The Money Book will be used to support financially vulnerable communities.
