Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced that it’s launching its “2025 Toss Community Mass Recruitment.”

The ‘Toss Community’, which includes Toss, Toss Bank, Toss Securities, and Toss Place is holding focused hiring weeks until April 20 to hire up to triple-digit talents across the four affiliates. Toss Community refers to all of the subsidiaries and affiliate companies. A total of 18 positions are open in development, product, data, design, business, and more.
This year, a variety of online and offline programs have been prepared to help applicants gain a better understanding of each position and find ones that suit them. On the recruitment website, a “Special Recruitment Page” is available where applicants can easily browse specific roles such as leadership positions or roles for those with less than five years of experience. Additionally, interviews with current employees are shared to provide insights into the organization and roles. For certain job categories, offline sessions are also arranged, where participants can gather job-related information and network with others.
During each company’s dedicated hiring week, which will be held sequentially over the course of a month, candidates may reapply for positions even if they were previously rejected within the past six months. The schedule is as follows: Toss Bank from March 24 to 30, Toss Place from March 31 to April 6, Toss from April 7 to 13, and Toss Securities from April 14 to 20.
“The Toss Community has been able to maintain fast growth due to the high talent density in the company,” a Toss recruitment team member said. “We look forward to the interest and applications of talented individuals who will grow and drive change with us through this mass recruitment.”
The recruitment process consists of the following stages: resume screening, technical interview, culture interview, and reference check (this step excluded for entry-level candidates). Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced on the 21st that its in-house volunteer group, ‘Toss Peace,’ conducted a ‘plogging’ event at Umyeonsan Mountain in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the International Day of Forests, designated by the United Nations. Plogging refers to an eco-friendly activity that combines jogging with picking up litter.

This event took place on March 14, where about 40 employees from Toss, Toss Bank, Toss Securities, and other affiliates. They cleaned the hiking trail from the entrance of the Mujangaesupgil to the vicinity of the Somangtap. According to Toss Walk, participants collectively walked a total of 276,519 steps and collected trash that filled 30 biodegradable 18L bags.
This plogging event, Toss Peace’s first local environmental cleanup activity, was organized to reflect on the value of forests and raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection in honor of the International Day of Forests. After the activity, participants shared their thoughts, saying, “I realized that even small efforts can contribute to protecting nature,” and “I’m determined to develop habits that reduce waste and prioritize environmental care.” A Toss representative said, “Moving forward, Toss Peace will continue to engage in various activities beyond environmental protection efforts.”
Toss Peace is an in-house volunteer group composed of Toss employees who participate voluntarily. The name ‘Toss Peace’ combines the brand name ‘Toss’ with ‘Peace.’ Since its establishment in June 2023, Toss Peace has actively volunteered at ‘Purme Social Farm,’ under the Purme Foundation, and ‘Hansarang Village,’ a facility for individuals with severe disabilities.

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced on the 20th that it has launched its ‘Car insurance comparison service 2.0’ (hereafter ‘Compare Car Loans’). The service, first introduced on January 19 last year, has been improved to be more intuitive and convenient.

‘Compare Car Loans’ allows users to easily compare and receive recommendations for car insurance products directly within the Toss app. Financial consumers seeking to purchase or renew their car insurance can quickly check premiums and proceed with the application process without complicated steps.
The most notable improvement in this update is that users can now view premiums identical to those provided by insurance companies. Car insurance is mandatory in Korea, and renewal notifications are typically sent 30 days before the policy expiration date. Toss now aligns with this timeline, enabling users to check their renewal premiums from the same point onward. For example, policyholders whose car insurance expires on April 19 can now view identical premium amounts as shown on insurer platforms.
Previously, consumers had to manually enter details such as their car model, insurance start date, and estimated driving distance. With the improved service, users can now simply input their name and resident registration number to automatically retrieve their vehicle model, insurance expiry date, and other relevant information.
Additionally, Toss has introduced a streamlined system to identify eligible discounts based on data such as number of steps walked or public transportation usage. This automated data integration eliminates the need for users to manually input information, ensuring they receive accurate final premium estimates. This improvement addresses the previous inconvenience of having to manually enter this data on insurance company websites, which often resulted in missed benefits.
Toss’s partnered insurers include 10 companies: Samsung Fire & Marine Direct Insurance, DB Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Direct Insurance, KB Insurance, Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance, Carrot General Insurance, AXA Direct Insurance, Hana Insurance, Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance, Lotte Insurance (available from April 1).
This service can be accessed through the Toss app by navigating to the ‘All’ tab > ‘Compare Car Loans’ or by searching ‘Compare Car Loans’ in the search (magnifier) feature.

As part of its social impact commitment, Toss provided tailored financial education for individuals that are financially marginalized and donated over 100 curated books—previously exhibited in the onsite library—to the Seoul Youth Gijigae Center.

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced that it has successfully concluded the “10 to 100: Toss 10 Year Anniversary, A New Beginning” campaign held in celebration of its 10th anniversary since the launch of the Toss app.

This campaign was designed to reflect on Toss’ decade of innovation and share the company’s vision for the next 100 years. Over the past month, up to March 2, a series of online and offline programs received a lot of positive response. The Data Report—which visualized the impact Toss has made on the financial landscape through numbers—surpassed 1.43 million views. Meanwhile, the campaign film capturing the changes Toss has brought to daily life since launching its simple money transfer service recorded over 4.2 million views.

From February 26 to March 2, the Square of Toss was held at Anderson C Seongsu in Seoul, drawing over 4,000 visitors. The space featured several programs, including The Journey of 10, an exhibition highlighting Toss’ financial innovations; the Financial Planning Lounge, where visitors could test their financial personality and receive personalized financial information; the Library, showcasing 100 curated books to support new beginnings; and the Gift Shop, offering Toss’ 10th-anniversary souvenirs. Toss’ in-house café, the Coffee Silo, was also set up on-site for visitors to experience.

Among the offline programs, the Toss Winning Session and Next Talk Session also received great attention. All 15 sessions were fully booked within a minute of opening, building excitement even before the event began. More than 1,500 people attended on-site to share valuable insights. The Winning Sessions, where Toss team members shared their expertise in service, business, design, and development, received an enthusiastic response from Toss’ most dedicated fans. In the Next Talk Sessions, industry experts from finance and lifestyle fields offered practical financial tips and future planning insights, which were well received by the participants.

Visitors who attended the sessions shared positive feedback. “It feels like Toss is evolving from a financial app into a lifestyle brand,” said one visitor, “The recycled plastic NFC keyring and the Financial Planning Lounge, where we could review our spending personality and plan ahead, stood out for their thoughtful design.”

Toss CX, Toss’s online customer service affiliate, also ran a tailored financial education program for financially marginalized individuals. The experiential program was designed to strengthen practical financial skills and was offered to 82 participants, including children in care facilities and young adults with borderline intellectual functioning. Participants learned basic financial concepts and how to protect themselves against financial scams.
“This campaign was an important starting point for reflecting on the past 10 years of financial innovation and preparing for the next 100 years,” a Toss representative said. “We will continue to transform the user’s financial experience and stay even closer to everyday life, expanding the possibilities of finance.”
Toss also donated 100 books from the Square of Toss library to the Seoul Youth Gijigae Center, a dedicated support center for socially withdrawn youth. The collection, recommended as “Books for planning your tomorrow,” was donated with the hope of encouraging young people to step out of isolation and start preparing for their future.

Mickey 17, the upcoming film by director Bong Joon-ho—who swept the Grand Prix at Cannes and the Academy Awards with Parasite—has been highly anticipated by movie fans both in Korea and abroad. The Mickey 17 ticket giveaway event held on the Toss Walk screen recorded 5.34 million entries, demonstrating the strong excitement for Bong’s latest film. This figure even surpasses the number of views (3.46 million as of March 5) of the second official trailer released on the world’s largest video platform.
The campaign included three main components: customized icons designed exclusively for Mickey 17, an OX quiz for a chance to win movie tickets, and Toss Walk scratch-off tickets. Notably, the customized icon feature is a new form of mass-targeted advertising. Toss Ads offers customized advertising by allowing advertisers to set their preferred icon and customize the screen that appears when clicked. For this campaign, a popcorn image, symbolizing films, and a Mickey 17 movie ticket were combined to create the main icon, which was displayed on the Toss Walk screen. Clicking on the icon directed users to an OX quiz where they could enter the movie ticket giveaway.
