Toss Publishes Personal Data Protection Report

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app "Toss," announced that it has published a Personal Data Protection Report.

The report covers Toss’ personal data protection activities from 2023 to August 2024. The report consists of four main sections. First, it outlines Toss’s personal data protection policies and major activities in chronological order. It also introduces the Personal Data Protection Team, detailing its role. Additionally, the report provides an in-depth look at how Toss ensures user safety.

The report dedicates the most focus to Toss’ trust-building efforts in personal information protection. This section is divided into six key areas: responses to personal information policy changes, enhancing personal information transparency, raising awareness about personal information, personal information protection activities, personal information certifications and maintenance, and personal information external consultancy.

“Through this report, we aim to comprehensively present how Toss prioritizes personal information protection as a value and the efforts we have made in this area,” a Toss representative said. “We will continue to enhance our personal information management and develop related policies to maintain customer trust.”

The Personal Data Protection Report is available for download on the Toss Privacy Protection website.

Meanwhile, on September 30, Toss received a Commendation Award in the Outstanding Chief Privacy Officer category at the “Personal Information Protection Day” event hosted by the Personal Information Protection Commission. Additionally, on October 7, Toss will hold an internal campaign to promote company-wide awareness of personal information protection and security.
