Toss Compares Auto Insurance Quotes with Insurer-Matched Rates

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced that the Toss app now displays the same auto insurance premiums as those offered through each insurer’s online direct channel (CM).

The service is implemented in accordance with the Financial Services Commission’s “Car insurance comparison service 2.0” policy, and Toss is the first in the industry to launch it. With this update, consumers can now compare and buy auto insurance directly from the Toss app at the same rates offered through insurers’ online direct channels.

Toss has partnered with ten major insurance companies—including Samsung Fire & Marine Direct, DB Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Direct, KB Insurance, Meritz Fire & Marine, Carrot Insurance, AXA Direct, Hana Insurance, Heungkuk Fire & Marine, and Lotte Insurance—allowing users to compare and receive recommendations for a wide range of products all in one place.

In addition to comparing premiums, users can also view various discount options directly from the Toss app. Drivers can easily select discounts based on their individual situations—such as use of public transportation, navigation apps, vehicle accessories, or whether they have children. Notably, Toss Walk users can also receive step-based discounts without needing to install a separate app.

Additional benefits are available for customers using the “Compare Car Insurance” service. Users who check their insurance premiums will receive ₩50 in Toss Points (one-time reward). This applies to new car buyers, those renewing their insurance, and users who used the comparison service before April 21. Furthermore, customers who compare auto insurance on Toss and make a purchase using Tosspay can receive a discount of up to ₩30,000 on select products.

The service can be accessed from the Toss app by navigating to: All tab > Car > “Compare car insurance”, or using Search (magnifying glass icon) > “Compare insurance”.

“Car insurance is a mandatory requirement for all drivers in Korea, and nearly half of the population purchases insurance each year,” a Toss representative said. “We will continue to improve the service to provide users with a more convenient comparison and recommendation experience, along with greater benefits.”
