- One tree saved (30 years old) for every 10,000 paper documents
- 2.88 grams reduced for every 1 paper document
- 10 liters of water for every 1 paper document
Number of trees saved with Toss’ electronic document service
The countless numbers of paper documents sent by government agencies and companies are substituted for electronic documents on Toss. From 2021 to 2024, a total of 380 million documents and certificates were issued digitally on Toss.
Switching to digital documents instead of paper may seem like a small change, but it has led to saving approximately 38,000 thirty-year-old trees, reducing carbon emissions by 1,094.4 tons, conserving 3.8 billion liters of water—equivalent to preserving forests the size of 106 soccer fields, cutting down the annual carbon emissions of 430 cars, and saving enough water to fill 1,520 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

The electronic document service covers a wide range of documents, including credit card statements, utility bills, residence tax, car tax, water bills, and various other mobile bills—all accessible via mobile devices. These services help reduce paper usage in our daily lives.
Total proceeds from the sale of 《THE MONEY BOOK》 used for donation
Toss became a “publisher” in 2024 year, publishing its own book titled 《THE MONEY BOOK》. From the moment we came up with the idea of 《THE MONEY BOOK》, we knew we wanted to take all the proceeds from the book and donate it to those who are financially marginalized.
We shared our readers' generous contributions with many. From the total proceeds, ₩100 million was donated to the Senior Finance Education Center, an organization dedicated to providing educational programs for seniors and helps seniors plan for retirement and protect themselves from financial fraud. 《THE MONEY BOOK》 was also published in the form of an audio/braille book and another ₩100 million was donated to the Korea Welfare Foundation for the Visually Handicapped, an organization that provides digital financial education for individuals with visual impairments. Additionally, ₩70 million was donated to the Borderline Intellectual Functioning Center for Continuing Education Seoul and ₩30 million to the Youth Mungan Social Cooperative. The donations totaled ₩300 million. We didn’t stop there; we donated 5,000 copies of 《THE MONEY BOOK》 to the Korea Youth Foundation to support young people in building a stronger financial foundation.
Finance should be easy, convenient, and equal for all. Keep an eye out on 《THE MONEY BOOK》, as we’ll continue to share the love and support!
